Our Work
The Excipients Business Forum is a multi stake-holder organization committed to working with our partners and members to help define and advance the common interests of more than 500 companies and professionals involved in the manufacture, distribution and use of pharmaceutical excipients from around the world.
We also, on behalf of our partners and members, and drawing on expertise from across the pharmaceutical industry, undertake policy development, research and provide advice and analysis for our partners and members as well as government departments, politicians, agencies, regulators, NGOs, the media and other stakeholders.
Our work is broken down into the following areas:
Policy & Analysis
The Excipients Business Forum oversees the industry’s position on key policy areas, systematically evaluates technical and political implications of proposed alternatives and represents members’ views to authorities at national and international levels.
Standards & Best Practice
The Excipients Business Forum works to define and promote common positions on standards & best practice of the industry and coordinates the activities of members to protect and promote their collective interests.
Internal Communications
The Excipients Business Forum provides timely and comprehensive information to members on all matters of relevance to the industry, such as international regulations and other important regulatory, legal, technical and scientific developments.
Public Relations & Public Affairs
The EIF leads on public affairs, public relations and media issues. It defines the industry’s key messages, promotes best practice, shares expertise in public affairs and markets excipients to the international audience.
Advocacy & Lobbying
The Excipients Business Forum represents its members with legislators, public authorities, trade groups and private organisations, including the European Union; US Congress & World Health Organization.
Membership & Events
The Excipients Business Forum holds membership-only programs, including conferences, workshops, webinars and seminars focused on timely international trade topics that feature leaders from the public and private sectors.
